Condensate handling Condensate produced at the evaporator is collected and routed to a tray in the condenser air path. Heat rejected by the condenser evaporates the collected water, eliminating external drainage in most installations.
Compliance CE marked under LVD 2014/35/EU and EMC 2014/30/EU. Refrigerant data sheet per EN 378. RoHS 2 compliant. Declaration of conformity supplied with each unit.

This electrical cabinet air conditioner with condensate evaporation is specified for enclosures where routing a drain line is impractical, prohibited, or introduces additional risk. In standard cooling units, condensate collected at the evaporator must be removed through a drain line, which requires a gravity path, a trap to prevent ingress, and a route that does not freeze or become blocked. This unit removes that requirement by evaporating the condensate internally using heat rejected by the condenser.

Typical applications include cabinets mounted on poles or walls where no drain path exists, cabinets in cleanrooms or food processing areas where standing water is not permitted, and outdoor installations in locations subject to freezing where a drain line would ice over during winter operation.

Condensate path
1 Moisture condenses on the evaporator coil surface as cabinet air is cooled below its dew point.
2 Condensate collects in a sloped drain pan beneath the evaporator and flows to a collection tray.
3 The tray is positioned in the condenser air stream, where rejected heat raises the water temperature.
4 Water evaporates into the condenser exhaust air and is discharged from the cabinet with the rejected heat.

Commercial and Technical Advantages

No drain line required Eliminates drain routing, traps, slope requirements, and freeze protection. Relevant for pole-mounted cabinets, wall-mounted enclosures, and retrofit installations where a gravity drain path does not exist.
Heat-driven evaporation Evaporation uses heat already rejected by the condenser, so no additional energy is consumed in the condensate handling process. The condenser continues to reject its normal heat load.
Freeze-resistant operation No external water path to freeze or ice over. Suitable for outdoor installations in temperate and continental climates where drain lines are subject to winter blockage.
No standing water at the cabinet Eliminates puddles, algae growth, and slip hazards at the cabinet base. Relevant for cleanrooms, food processing areas, and public-access installations.
Plant network integration Modbus RTU standard with documented register map. Dry-contact alarm relay for connection to existing annunciator panels or PLC inputs where network integration is not available.
Service access and parts Condensate tray, drain pan, and evaporator accessible from the front face. Compressors, EC fans, controllers, and tray assemblies held as service parts for a minimum of 10 years.

Deployment Contexts

01 Pole and wall-mounted cabinets Outdoor telecom, surveillance, and traffic cabinets mounted on poles or walls where no gravity drain path exists and routing a line would require additional hardware.
02 Cold climate installations Sites where winter temperatures drop below freezing, making external drain lines subject to ice blockage and water backup into the cabinet.
03 Clean and hygienic environments Food processing, pharmaceutical, and cleanroom installations where standing water at the cabinet base is not permitted by site hygiene procedures.
04 Retrofit and leased facilities Installations where cabinet modification or floor penetration is not permitted by the facility owner, or where the cabinet may be relocated and a fixed drain cannot be provided.

Selection and Installation Notes

Condensate load estimate Evaporation capacity is 0.8 L/h at 35°C and 60% RH. Where site conditions involve sustained humidity above 85% RH or high air exchange rates, condensate production may exceed evaporation capacity. Provide site humidity data for evaluation.
High humidity sites For installations with continuous humidity above 85% RH, specify the optional gravity drain kit in addition to internal evaporation. The kit provides a secondary path where the condensate load is expected to exceed evaporation capacity.
Air path integrity The condenser air path must remain isolated from the evaporator return. Where the cabinet is in a dusty or oily environment, the condenser coil and condensate tray require more frequent cleaning to maintain evaporation performance.
Power and protection Dedicated 2-pole breaker, 10 A C-curve. Copper conductors 2.5 mm². Grounding resistance ≤ 4 Ω. External surge protection recommended for exposed installations.
Clearance Maintain 180mm at the evaporator return and 320mm at the condenser discharge. Do not obstruct the front service access panel or the condensate tray access cover.
Maintenance interval Filter inspection every 2 to 3 months. Condensate tray and drain pan cleaning quarterly to prevent biological growth and blockage. Condenser coil cleaning quarterly. Annual check of refrigerant charge and tray integrity.

Procurement FAQ

The tray includes a high-level sensor that triggers an alarm and reduces cooling output to limit further condensate production. For sites where sustained high humidity is expected, the optional gravity drain kit provides a secondary path. Provide site humidity data for evaluation during selection.

No. Evaporation uses heat already rejected by the condenser during normal cooling operation. No additional heater or fan is required. The condenser continues to reject its normal heat load plus the latent heat of the evaporated condensate.

Yes. The absence of an external drain line removes the freeze risk associated with conventional units. The internal tray and drain pan are positioned within the cabinet envelope, where cabinet heat and condenser discharge keep the condensate path above freezing during operation.

Dimensional drawing, wiring diagram, capacity table, condensate evaporation rate curve, refrigerant data sheet, Modbus register map, mounting template, and declaration of conformity. Condensate handling diagrams are included for facility approval where drainage is a design constraint.

Standard configuration lead time is 4 to 6 weeks. Orders above 50 units are scheduled individually. Custom voltages, condensate configurations, or communication options add 2 to 3 weeks. Contact the sales team for a production slot quotation.

Standard warranty is 24 months from commissioning or 30 months from shipment. Compressor coverage extends to 60 months. Service parts including compressors, EC fans, controllers, condensate trays, and level sensors are held for a minimum of 10 years from manufacture.
